Photographer #2- Shinichi Maruyama -FALLING-

One of my first ideas was the concept of falling through dancing. I know there is a dance studio in college and therefore may think about exploring this in more depth. This means I may have to get in touch with some dance students to explore this. I was inspired by an image I found on Pinterest by a photographer named: Shinichi Maruyama.

Although I am not familiar with his other work and have only seen a few images, this one image really inspired me.
Japanese photographer Shinichi Maruyama has an interesting series of photos simply titled, “Nude.” Each image shows an abstract flesh-colored shape that’s created by a nude subject dancing in front of the camera. Although the photographs look like long-exposure shots, they’re actually composite images created by combining ten thousand individual photographs of each dancer. The result is a look in which each model’s body is (mostly) lost within the blur of its movement.:

I love the way the image shows the curves of the models body and how the series of images is called 'nude' it almost acts as a way to expose the human body without feeling exposed. The way the image is edited and compiled together shows how the model whether or not feels worried about posing for the images, yet the images look so beautiful and confident.

After exploring the photographer a little more, some other of his images also follow a similar concept of the movement being frozen in time. This image specifically :  The detail is amazing and I love the way the image is set up. The way time is frozen and now printed to last forever is a really nice concept I am enjoying researching.
