These images I really like as straight away it links with my photography brief and my ideas. I love the way the images are coloured and how the saturation has been slightly altered to create an almost fake flower. The flowers in these specific images are also curling in some areas and you can tell the images are living. I also feel the texture of these flowers really comes across in these images. The living look of these flowers is shown through detail such as petals that have curled and leaves that aren't as formed or the opposite are wearing away. This is a really detailed area of the flowers as it shows the real flower.
Link to my project:
The way the images are taken also shows how they are similar to humans and the way they have lived. The flowers almost look 'worn' and the photographer has also found this connection. The colours also strike me as the bright colour work well against the dark background and show the colours to be slightly brighter than they are. I also feel these images as shown in full beauty of curling petals and crisp leaves shows a link to humans and the way we can look worn and rustic. These flowers show a lon period of time in such a small picture linking with the phrase 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. I also feel they have their own characteristics and you can see the individualistic style of each flower in all the images. It does not matter if the flowers are the same the effect is difference and the images look drastically different same as human beings and our own style of appearance.
