Inspiration #6 Carla Van De Puttelaar

Hortus Nocturnum

Carla Van De Puttelaar

Below I have added the information I found written by the photographer on the images and her aim behind it.

"it is a story of flowers that are just past the height of bloom. Gradually they decline: curling, fading, changing color, becoming dancers, strange species, and mysterious beauties for a moment, caught by the camera forever"

I found these images specifically inspirational as the flowers are really focused and you can see the small detail of the petals. Not only do I like the flowers themselves and the detail but I also really like the way the image has been created with the dark background. I feel it enhances the flower and creates a more deep image.

The background being dark also shows skill of the photographer.  This photographers skills have shown through the background and the way the images have been edited.
Below I have added the ones that I felt not only caught my eye due to the subject but also because of the texture and added depth. I really like the look of these images when merged together either in a horizontal or vertical line as he background works well together.
